Why is closed form called so?

The question is the title?

Hey @nikhil_sarda, it is because an equation is said to be a closed-form solution if it solves a given problem in terms of functions and mathematical operations from a given generally-accepted set. Here also we get the direct solution, using mathematical operations and hence we called it so.

Hope this cleared your doubt.
