What does 10th face means?

I don’t understand the concept of storing every 10th face. and why it has been used?

Every 10th face is not stored, instead every 10th frame is stored. This is done because simultaneous frames are too similar and carry redundant data. Also, you are effectively reducing storage requirements by 10 times.
