Unable to understand 2's complement

at 19.40min if we calculate 01 with 2’s complement then 01 is coming as 3 not 1.why

how to calculate 2s complement for 00,01,10,11??? unable to understand how sir calculated 2’s complement of binary 00 and 01… please explain…it is at 19 min 40sec

2’s complement is basically calculated by taking 1’s complement of a number in binary format + 1…
for example if we have to find 2’s complement for 5…
binary for 5 is 101
therefore 2’s complement is 101 + 1 = 110
