The area calculation formula

Hello,

In case given coordinates: (3,2), (3,4), (5,2), (5,4) the area would be (4 - 2) * (5 - 3) = 4, but the output is 2, how is that possible?

here it is ->
(5-2-1) * (4-2-1) => 2 * 1 = 2
