Substrings which are palindromes

i didnt get the question itself here. and the example too. can u plse help me understand the question

from all the substring of a string count those which are palindrome
eg abc --> a,ab,abc,b,bc,c out of these only a,b,c are palindrome so ans is 3
eg abb --> a,ab,abb,b,bb,b —> a,b,b,bb 4 are palindrom here
