Remove duplicate strings

here after the loop finish at last a[pre+1]=’/0’ why it is used just to terminate the code because in char array we are using it when we initialise here we are not initialising why we are using it can you please explain me that

because we are not giving pre end point we are just increasing it and at last store the null in it and terminate form there right thats the thing in it
