while looking for even numbers, you might have come through such an expression:
if(i%2 == 0)
% is modulus/remainder operator.
i%2 is same as i modulus 2,
i%2 == 0 means that when i is divided by 2, remainder is 0, i.e. i is completely divisible by 2 which implies that a number is even.
