Query Related To Join Function

corr_starwars=corr_starwars.join(ratings[‘num of ratings’])
how did this line exactly work.I mean how did starwars’s no of rating and correlation got merged even though we didnt give any on parameter

This is what I found in the docs:
“on” argument: Column or index level name(s) in the caller to join on the index in other, otherwise joins index-on-index. Hence, join is possible because of the shared index, which is the default behavior.
