Phone not connecting

I have MI A1 with me and I’m having trouble connecting it to the android studio in my laptop (version 3.0.1). can you help me out I cant move forward with the course without doing it…

sorry I might have missed the mail…so basically I watched a video for connecting my phone to the android studio and I turned on the developer options, debugging, set the usb to ptp(mtp not there in my phone)… but its still not working. What do you suggest I do… please tell me step wise that would be a great help

i am still not able to connect my phone …you sent me aquora link…i did everything mentioned in it…but its still not working…moreover i tried using a note 4 bu still not luck. But at the end there is one thing…the driver wasnt being installed in my pc so i downloaded it from the internet but still it says…driver not found when i connect the phone

Do u have teamviewer installed on ur laptop?
