I am sorry but what exactly is your query?

There are 3 steps in Mathematical induction.
Step 1: Define for N=1
Step 2: Assume that the formula is true for N=K, remember we are assuming here.
Step 3: Prove for N=K+1.

Where exactly are you having a problem?
