Leaderboard system
It is on the basis of number of questions of you assignment completely solved. On your course dashboard, there would be a leader board specific to your batch. Rank is based on score. Each correct answer will give you 100 points.

Why are you not showing total score of each student with their ranking at leaderboard instead of only showing personal rank.
Showing score of all batchmates give enthuthiasm for healthy competition.
Why does my rank keep falling in the contest even after I have finished all questions with 100% score?
In case of Tie break in contest, Ranks are distributed on basis of min. time taken to solve questions. Maybe a person has started the contest after you and solve the questions in less time than you. He must be awarded with better rank.
