Image Pixels containing Integer value

In Pixels containing Integer value between 0-255, is there any logic behind this?
Like as per the bit memories.

Yeah there is a particular reason behind it .
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) are 8 bit each.
The range for each individual color is 0-255 (as 2^8 = 256 possibilities).

This is the reason these values are ranged between 0-255 .
