How to extract from digit number

if n=123 ,
n=n%10 it give remainder .but next step extract 12 from 123
n=n/10
=12 how?

when we divide 123 by 10 then what will be the integer value you will get after dividing?
it will be 12 to only get the integer part.
10*12=120 if you take the multiple any bigger then this then it will go in integer part.
