Header file

Header files have .h extension, but iostream do not have such extension. But iostream is a header file. How?

iostream.h is deprecated by those compilers that provide it, iostream is part of the C++ standard.

authors of that code decided to follow the patterns of the C++ standard library. In standard C++, library headers are not supposed to have the .h extension. So the following is correct:

#include <iostream>
