in the video the problem lies is that h(theta)xi is a real number and would be giving real numbers but h(theta)xi is equation of line so why do we want it to be 0 or 1?
H(theta)xi values
y = h(theta)xi is the equation of our decision boundary, we classify points on the basis of which side the point lies on. When we put a point in ‘y’ and it returns a number greater than 0.5 (after applying the activation function) then we assign it the class 1 because that’s more probable in that case. Basically, ‘y’ gives us the confidence of a point lying in the class 1.
