General doubt in linear regression

Sir why there is a problem if a function is not differentiable
as sir says we have to convert this in mean square error

Hey @Royal_Yashasvi, the function has to be differentiable because while performing gradient descent you need to find the gradients right ? So while finding the gradients you have to differentiate the least square errors function . That’s why it is necessary for the function to be differentiable !
