Doubt regarding Type Casting

In Simple Interest Program, there Sir is talking about Type Casting but isn’t it Type Conversion as it is being done automatically by the compiler and the Type Casting is usually specified by the user

@aatish08 Sir considered it as implicit typecasting which is correct. In implicit type casting data type is controlled automatically by the compiler whereas in explicit type casting data type is controlled by the programmer.

Just to clear my doubt ,are Implicit Type Casting and Type Conversion same in this scenario??
