If the total number of columns are 10 and i store only five character then the remaining blocks would contain garbage character???

And whats is the purpose of ‘/0’ ???
How to use it??

yeah , if u dont fill them , it will have garbage value.

\0 tells where the string terminates.
so use \0 to terminate ur string
