Conversion of decimal to binary

i am not understanding the concept of conversion of decimal to binary of second way which is given below.
For ex convert 13 to binary
In this we take powers of 2 as 8+4+0+1 then how 8 is written as 1 and 4 is written as 1 and 1 is written as 1 . I dont understand it

hello @manoj2597
u should learn binary representation first.
8 is not written as one -> it is 1000 ( 8+0+0+0 => 2^3 +0 + 0 +0 )
similarly
4 is written as (0100) (4+0+0 => 2^2+0+0)

I dont understand this.can u help me or give me a more better concept for understanding.how can write 8 as 1 and 4 as1according to1000 and 100
