CLear Bit Problem

How negative no is expressed in binary number??

hi @ashwani225, for negetive number we use 2’s compliment method ,If the number is negative then it is represented using 2’s complement i.e.

First represent the number with positive sign and then take 2’s complement of that number.

Most significant bit (MSB) denotes whether the number is negetive or positive , if MSB is 1 then the number is negetive , if 0 then the number is positive

for examples you can refer these discussion , i have explained in detail :-
