What is the significance of correlation b/w two films, i mean to ask that how is correlation calculated bw 2 films. Is it based on the fact that if two users have rated both the movies similarly then they are more likely to be correlated or does it only count 5 star rating?

not actually for a single use ratings , but considering all ratings provided by different users , based on those ratings how much are those movies similar to each other ,is the thing that correlation helps us to understand.
