Balanced parenthesis

in balanced parenthesis video, we r using array to store parenthesiis, arent we popping out elements while backtracking??
if we would hv used stack to store parenthesis, we would hv explicitly mentioned the pop out function while backtracking
im not able to imagine the solution in case of array
