Back working of pbds

I could not able to understand the back working of pbds, and how really all these things work, Can you explain?

The g++ compiler also supports some data structures that are not part of the C++ standard library. Such structures are called policy-based data structures. These data structures are designed for high-performance, flexibility, semantic safety, and conformance to the corresponding containers in std.

there working is not important for use
we need not to learn them

if you want to learn how we can use them or some customization
you can read this blog

Can we use pbds in real interviews and coding rounds for companies or they only meant for cp?

mainly only meant for cp

depend on companies
mostly they don’t allow to use pbds because their you have to write only functions rest of the code is given by them and you can’t edit it
