A little question regarding the video

we are counting the contribution of an element when it is the top left of a submatrix but what about the contributions that are being made by it when it not a top left of a submatrix?

we are calculating contribution of every element
when element is not part of submatrix then it’s contribution is 0
so no need to consider that

Sanket sir said that for calculating the contribution of an element then we have to find out the no. of cells in the above area( for which element will be bottom right ) and the no. of cells in area below the element( for which the element will be top left) .

But why we are not considering the contribution when the element will be part of the submatrix not as a top left or bottom right but as a random element?
