Why res is not passed by refrence

why in multiply finction res is not passed my reference how did it update every time and still we get output in factorial function

array is always passed as pointer.
that is ,always base address of array is passed.
so whathever chnages u will make in ur function on that array.
it will be reflected on ur original array.
