Two's Complement

Can we have positive number represented in 2’s form? Also does 2’s complement also have a role to play during multiplication or division of numbers?

Hello @gitansh,

Two’s Complement is a way of representing a negative number.
As you have learnt in the video, 2’s complement of a positive integer (say x) will represent a negative integer (say -x).

Why do we do that?
Because there is no subtractor unit in your system.
Thus, to use adder to subtract to numbers we use 2’s complement form for negative numbers.

For, multiplication and division, you can refer to this link.

Hope, this would help.
