The square bracket

So in 2D arrays the first square bracket is for rows then followed by column. So is it right to assume that in 1D arrays the square bracket we denote the columns? or is it just the size?

@devanshsood2000_b7de8cac3ff0472d as you said in 2D array first is for rows and second is for columns so basically in 1D array there is only bracket which is used for rows not for columns.
