Significance of null character

Why are we using /0, in the end, to convert an array into a string?

hello @udatta

in case of char array \0 acts as delimiter i.e it is indicater of string ending.
whenever we will do
cout<<a; // it will print all the characters thAT are before \0 and stop at \0
