what is the meaning of saying that if we make the pointer of preorder array a local variable it will BACKTRACK .

@bvidab18 See here what we wants is that every select every element of preorder should be considered as root and corresponding right and left side elements of inorder as child.
So if you will take the pointer for index of preorder as local variable, then whenever next recursive call is made then in that recursive call it will again start from 0, not from the value where we left it previously.
