Precision , Recall and Confusion Matrix

couldnt understand the difference between precision and recall.

precision = true positive / actual answer
whereas
recall = true positive / predicted answer

recall refers to the percentage of total relevant results correctly classified by your algorithm
Precision means the percentage of your results which are relevant
