I have completed my solution, but i am not able to understand the input type in the question ie the way in which we have to take input, do i explicitly need to store true and false along with each node, to take input in such manner?

no ,u dont have to store true/false anywhere they are thier to tell whether subtree exist or not.
if it is true then it means subtree exist otherwise subtree not exist
