Optimal Game Strategy - Doubt in question

In the following test case, I have some doubt.

4

1 2 3 4

In the question, it is explained that first piyush picks 4 out of 1 and 4. Then Nimit picks either 1 or 3 and in both cases piyush will next pick coin 2 and total sum for piyush is 4+2=6.

But I have a doubt, in case Nimit picks 1 out of 1 and 3 then for piyush coins 2 and 3 are left. Then why piyush doesnt pick coin 3 and wins by 3+4=7. And instead he picks 2.

Please explain me the question clearly. I think I have misunderstood something in the question.

Both Piyush and Nimit play optimally. So Nimit will always pick 3 out of 1 and 3
