I have no idea what is the exact problem you are trying since you have asked this doubt on N Queen problem. Please ask your doubts on the current problem that you are trying or it would waste both our time.
Also, I can see no problem with the code as far as permutations are concerned. Just make the function of void type. No point in making it of int type. The permutations are being printed just fine.
