Mixtures modification

If mixtures are placed in circular fashion instead of being placed in a row then how would we approach?

If you read the problem carefully, we are considering mixtures in a circular fashion only
In

Taking second scenario:
first mix 60 and 20 (smoke: 1200), getting 80, then mix 40 (return to beginning) and 80 (smoke: 3200); total amount of smoke is 4400.

By circular i mean that at any time we have option of mixing first and last also

Umm… I dont understand ‘ANY TIME’ here.
Can you pls explain with example?

For eg. If we have 2,3,4,1 if we consider circular fashion then we can add 1 and 4 also…

We are considering 1,2 here as per question also to get the best possible case
