Maximum frequency character

I am not able to think about the logic to find maximum frequency character,can give me a hint

You have to find the char which occurs max number of times in a given string.

1.Declare an Array of 26 size to store the frequency of each character.
2.Each time any character is encountered increment its corresponding frequency at that index.
3.Declare a max variable and put a loop on filled array.
4.Update the max and character accordingly.
