Lower_bound with compare

why does lower bound with compare not return the first bucket <=key . It returns the first bucket without compare.

Using lower_bound with compare finds the first element greater than or equal to the key, based on the comparison function. Without compare, it defaults to a standard “greater than or equal to” check.
