Well the suggested approach is the recursive one only as it is simple and easy to understand. And we use merge sort on an array recursively as well.
But if we wanted to merge two sorted linked lists iteratively, we will have to create a new linked list. And add nodes to it one by one, comparing the values of the current pointer variables of the two given linked lists, at each step.
