Flow Chart-Second Component of flow chart

Did not understand the second component of the flow chart please explain.

that second component is parallelogram.
this we use in flow chart to represent read or write operation.

for example let say u r writing a sum of two numbers program which takes two input from user.
now to represent this in flow chart we will use pallelogram.
