There has been a deliberate push to promote and motivate Women in Science and Engineering to seek jobs. According to the study, gender imbalance is caused in part by unsupportive societies that hinder a woman’s career advancement.

- Wage gaps between men and women, including industry, job title, and experience differences.
- Today, women have fewer role models and mentors than men.
