Difference between Standardisation and normalisation

In the video of data preprocessing - normalisation and standardisation are taught to be same , but i found on the net that they both are different and what is taught in the video is actually standardisation not normalisation

What's the difference between Normalization and Standardization?

am i missing something or am i correct ?

Hey Anshu,
Those two terms are usually used interchangeably because both of them solve the same purpose and use nearly the same process to do so. We basically shrink the range of our entire data in a small range so as to increase our model’s performance. The only difference being the shrunken range.
