what is ‘2’ here at the rend of the parameter list in cv2.rectangle after specifying the value for color ?

That parameter refers to the thickness of the line of the bounding box which is being drawn using this function. The higher is the value of this parameter, thicker are the boundaries of the bounding box. Give it a try 
A pro tip: Negative values in this parameter, like CV_FILLED , mean that the function has to draw a filled rectangle.
